Educator Pathway Level 2

The Educator Pathway Program is a four-level curriculum designed to prepare and support education leaders in: applying teaching and learning theory, developing practical tools, and building leadership skills. It is available to all staff who have a passion for education, and want to build and develop their knowledge and skills related to creating, facilitating and evaluating education. The workshops are based on best practice in the delivery of education.
Note: There are pre-readings and preparation work required throughout the course.

• You can enter into the Educator Pathway at the level most suitable to your knowledge and abilities but we highly recommend taking the levels in order. The competency assessment tool is available to assist in determining the best level for you.
• You do not need to take every level of the Educator Pathway.
• Manager/Director support is required.

The goal of Level 2 is to increase education leaders' competencies in developing and facilitating effective teaching within a specific area of clinical practice.

• Level 2 is intended for individuals whose work completely or partially includes education delivery.
• Your learners are individuals and small groups who may be in a variety of roles and/or disciplines/professions.
• You support learning that occurs in both practice and classroom settings.
• Level 2 education is content and practice focused with a foundation based on learning processes and theory.
• Level 2 assignments are group-work based and may require participants to meet group members outside of classroom time to complete assignments.

Attendance at all sessions in the series is required.
