This module provides an overview of the Mental Health Act of BC including information on responsibilities for care and rights along with cultural safety and humility, trauma informed and recovery oriented care practice elements. This module is CME accredited for 1.0 Mainpro + credit.
A case study is presented throughout the module with reflective questions to assist in understanding and applying the information in practice. Participants will also test their knowledge by completing short quizzes at the end of the module. This module was updated in February 2025 and is aligned with the provincial MHA standards.
Please note that this module is designed to provide an overview of the Mental Health Act of British Columbia and should not be used as a replacement for the Act itself or Legal Advice.
