Get Ready to Do Research: Roadmap and Supports

Are you interested in finding out how to get the support services you need to start on your research journey in Fraser Health?

This workshop will outline how you can access support services from the Department of Evaluation and Research Services and the BC SUPPORT Unit Fraser Centre to help you develop your research project. We will also go over key requirements for conducting research to set you on the path to success. Come to learn and be inspired!

• Identify primary Department of Evaluation and Research Services (DERS) and BC SUPPORT Unit Fraser Centre resources
• Differentiate between research, evaluation and quality improvement studies
• Explain the concept of patient-oriented research
• Identify Fraser Health’s minimum requirements for ethical review and institutional approval
• Outline the key components of developing a research team and a work plan for research
