• Your role in helping maintain the safety and security of Island Health staff, patients, and premises.
• Frequently asked questions about security cards and Photo ID in the PCC.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this module the learner will be able to:

• Understand and follow hospital rules and regulations.
• Participate in orientation and training programs which teach you the how and why of hospital security and safety.
• Be safety-conscious, and watch for unsafe conditions to prevent accidents and keep everyone safe.
• Be alert for irregularities or suspicious activities, and watch for and report suspicious people or activities that might pose a threat.
• Encourage patients and visitors to understand and comply with hospital rules.
• This e-Learning module is divided into three parts followed by a quick review.
