PHSA - CW - Basic Life Support CPR Provider Training

This four-hour course is intended for those who need their initial BLS CPR Certification through Heart & Stroke.

**Please note: if you have an expired BLS card or “healthcare provider (HCP)” completion card from another agency, please see this link for information on how to take the BLS Prerequisite Challenge (online exam through Heart & Stroke) at a cost of $4 to you. Upon successful completion, you will be qualified to register for the 2 hour renewal course, and NOT required to take this 4 hour course.

After taking the course which includes the written exam, you will be registered for BLS certification through Heart & Stroke Canada.

The textbook “BLS for Healthcare Providers” is available for staff loan through the Study & Learning Commons library in F406, on the 4th floor of Shaughnessy. The Study & Learning Commons is open Monday to Friday from 900 to 1600. Copies of the textbook can also be purchased from the C&W Bookstore, located inside the Study & Learning Commons.
