Focus Groups and Interviews

This workshop covers the essentials of focus groups and interviews for gathering qualitative data. You’ll learn to design focus groups, develop moderator skills to foster discussion, conduct effective interviews, and gain basic qualitative data analysis skills while avoiding common mistakes.

  • Reviewing the necessary steps of qualitative research traditions.
  • Understand the data collection techniques of focus groups and interviews.
  • Techniques for conducting interviews and focus groups to obtain quality data.
  • Identify ways to ensure rigor for trustworthiness  and confidence in findings.
  • Understand methods to analyze data obtained through interviews and focus groups.
