Provincial Code Red - Fire Safety Training (Acute & Long Term Care Facilities)
This course is required for all staff, students, contractors and others working at acute and residential facilities in Provincial Health Services, Fraser Health, Vancouver Coastal Health, and Providence Health.
Lesson Objectives:
Upon completing this module, you should be able to:
•State and explain the basic principles of Fire Prevention.
•State and explain, in the correct order, the R.A.C.E. protocol for fire response.
•State and explain, in the correct order, the steps for proper usage of a fire extinguisher using the P.A.S.S. protocol.
•State and explain, in correct the order, the steps and priorities for evacuation.
•State the correct actions to take when the alarms are sounded.
Upon successful completion of the course you may print a certificate to present to your manager as proof of completion.
