Fetal Health Surveillance Interprofessional Workshop

Course Prerequisites

Fetal Health Surveillance Recertification Part two. For BCWH staff and practioners with privaleges at BCWH only. Pre-requisites to attendance include the completion of the online FHS course and successful achievement (80%) of the FHS recertification exam. Should you not complete the exam prior to the workshop you have registered for, you will be asked to re-register and return on another date. You may register for the online FHS recertification course and test via the Learning Hub. Participation in this workshop completes the requirements for FHS recertification.

This interprofessional workshop is intended to facilitate learning related to interprofessional communication and practice for the care of women requiring fetal health surveillance during the antenatal and/or intrapartum periods. This interactive, case based learning experience will focus on communication, consultation and decision making for interpretation and response to FHS results using intermittent auscultation and electronic fetal monitoring. Discussion is based on theory and guidelines highlighted in the on-line fetal health surveillance program.

A certificate of completion will be provided at the conclusion of the workshop.

Please note you must complete the fetal health surveillance on-line program and complete the exam in order to attend this workshop. Should you not complete the exam prior to the workshop you have registered for, you will need to cancel and re-register for another session.
