MAiD (Medical Assistance in Dying) - Regional Education

This 3.5 hour workshop is open to all FH staff in order to provide information regarding Medical Assistance in Dying. Through facilitation, group discussion and self-reflection, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the history of the Supreme Court ruling
  2. Explain the practice implications of Bill C-14
  3. Operationalize the FH MAiD policy by supporting the duties, obligations and responsibilities to provide MAiD and providing patient/person-centred care
  4. Enact regulatory practice standards
  5. Recognize the emotional impact for self and others
