Education Community of Practice

The primary purpose is to create, expand, and exchange knowledge, and to develop individual capabilities related to educator practice. Each session will have a professional development component, combined with networking, to build collaboration and synergy.

In the spirit of a Community of Practice, participants guide the ongoing development of the community.

Who should attend?
All those with an interest in educator practice are considered members. You can attend one or all of the sessions. The community leads the choice of topics for professional development. Our community uses the Educator Competencies as a framework for planning.

Anyone with an interest in education is welcome. The Educator Community of Practice creates a place for those with a passion for education/teaching/learning to come together to learn how to do it better. Communities of practice are groups of people who share a passion for something that they know how to do and who interact regularly to learn how to do it better (Wenger, McDermott, & Snyder, 2002). Come join the learning.
