RAI - MDS RES. CARE CAPs & Outcome Scales for Care Planning

Course Prerequisites

This 4 hr course is offered to clinical staff who care plan for residents. The focus is on how the CAPs and Outcome Scales calculate and how they can be used to form individualized care plans. Each learner applies the information to one of their own residents.

Prerequisite: RAI-MDS RES CARE Coding 2 Day for Nurses or RAI-MDS RES CARE for Interdisciplinary. Completion of 3-6 RAI-MDS assessments.

Clinicians are required to bring a Full or Quarterly MDS assessment of a Resident that they have completed, as well as the resident's triggered CAPs summary, Outcome Scales summary, and CAPs and Outcome Scales Trend Report.
